| Manaus, Brazil
The Cinnamon-throated Woodcreeper is distributed in the Amazon Basin and the Guianas. It is found in humid forest, particularly at the edges, and it seems to be particularly fond of palm trees. This bird, in the grounds of the Hotel Tropical, Manaus, was perched on a palm.
|It is fairly large with a heavy, pale bill and a conspicuous collar of white spots with black borders (at least in this, the nominate sub-species).
We heard this bird at dusk and its song is often heard either just before dawn or around dusk.
