|Lesser Greenlet Pachysylvia decurtata
(aka Hylophilus decurtatus)
The Lesser Greenlet is distributed from south-eastern Mexico through Central America to Colombia, Ecuador and north-west Peru. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in evergreen and semi-deciduous forest and forest edges up to about 1,000m in the main.
|The smallest member of the vireo family it feeds mainly on invertebrates. The birds I saw were very active and
restless and often hung upside down while searching the leaves for prey.
