| It is a brood parasite but it specialises in parasitising only one species, the Bay-winged Cowbird Agelaioides badius to the extent that the eggs and the nestlings look identical. The adult is similar to the Shiny Cowbird Molothrus bonariensis but is less shiny and has a shorter bill. There is also no sexual dimorphism as there is in the Shiny Cowbird. | ||||
