| Rio Santiago, Honduras March 2015 The White-bellied Emerald is distributed from southern Mexico and Belize through northern Guatemala and Honduras to Nicaragua. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. It is found in forest, woodland and coffee and banana plantations and is more confined to the forest than most other Amazilias. |

| It has a straight, blackish bill with pinkish base to the lower mandible. Upperparts are
golden to bronzy-green while the throat, central underparts and undertail coverts are white.
It feeds on nectar and small insects. |
