|White-winged Cinclodes (Cinclodes atacamensis)
Chilean name: Churrete de alas blancas
The White-winged Cinclodes is distributed in the Andes from central Peru to central Argentina. It is found between roughly 2,500 and 5,000 metres on Puna grassland and rocky slopes nearly always near clear, running water in small streams.
|It is easily confused with the sympatric race of Bar-winged Cinclodes C. f. albiventris which also has a whitish wing-stripe but White-winged Cinclodes is larger with a longer bill, more rufous upperparts and a greyer crown. It also has white corners to the tail.|
