|Desert Lark Ammomanes deserti
The Desert Lark is distributed in Africa north of the Sahara, the Arabian Peninsula and into Iran, Pakistan and north-west India. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in desert and semi-desert but avoids flat, sandy areas.
|It is distinguished from the Bar-tailed Lark A. cinctura by the darker culmen on the longer bill, the barring on the breast and the less rounded head. The voice is also different.|
